Service
Web design in Southampton: a site that says which part of the city you serve
The person checking you from a phone in Portswood wants to know three things before they scroll: that you do this, that you do it near them, and that people say you do it well. We build Southampton business sites around exactly that, with a page per service, the centres and towns you cover, your own photographs, and an enquiry path on every page. Live in about four weeks, from £599.

What decides whether a site works here
Five questions we ask before a single page is designed
01
Which centre is the business in, and which does it serve?
Shirley is not Portswood and neither is Woolston. The site names the centre in the titles, the first paragraph and the markup, and the areas page states the rest with distances.
02
What does the customer search for?
Boiler service, not plumbing. Invisalign, not dentistry. Yacht rigging, not marine services. A page per search you want more of, with what it involves, what moves the price, and a photograph of the real thing.
03
Who sends the enquiries: the map or the results?
A trade lives on the map, so the site backs the profile. A clinic or a solicitor lives in the results, so the site carries the depth: the people, the fees, the process.
04
What proof can a stranger check?
The Google rating with a link, the register (Gas Safe, CQC, SRA, RYA), photographs of real jobs with the centre named, the year you started. Nothing a stranger cannot verify.
05
How does the enquiry reach you?
The form lands in your inbox and on your phone, WhatsApp and the number are one tap on every page, and we test the form every month.
Inside the build
What is in every site we ship, and why it is there
| In the build | Why | What you notice |
|---|---|---|
| Our own stack, no page builder, no plugins | Page builders are why most local sites take eight seconds on 4G and break when a plugin updates | Under two seconds on a phone on Above Bar Street, measured, not claimed |
| A page per service, the centres on one areas page | Google shows one page per search; a page that covers everything ranks for nothing | You can send a customer the exact page for the job they asked about |
| Your photographs, resized and captioned | Stock photographs are why Southampton business sites look like each other | The real van, the real room, the real team, with the centre in the caption |
| Markup that matches the profile | LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ and breadcrumbs, with the same name, address and hours as Google's profile | The map and the site agree, so the assistants trust both |
| Search Console and Analytics, handed over | So the report can show what the profile sends and what the pages send | You can see the numbers yourself, any day |
| Consent, privacy and terms for a UK business | A cookie banner that means something and legal pages written for here | Nothing to worry about when a customer or a regulator looks |
| Nine layers of spam protection on the form | Honeypot, time trap, origin check, rate limit and more, so the enquiries are real | A quiet inbox with real people in it, tested every month |
The packages

Questions Southampton businesses ask us
How much does a website cost in Southampton?
From £599 for a site with a page per service, your work or menu, about and a form; £1,200 for the full business site of fourteen to eighteen pages with hosting and a year of care; £1,600 with the complete SEO package running from launch. The first month of SEO is free with every package.
What do I need to give you?
Photographs from your phone of the real place, the real work and the real people; the services you want more of, in your words; a read-through of each page before it goes live. Everything else is ours.
Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
Text and photograph changes are part of hosting and care, so you send them and they are done within the working day. If you would rather edit yourself, we set that up at handover; most clients find sending a message faster.
What about the student and the passenger?
If they are your customers, the site has a page for them: a student page for a letting agent or a dentist near Highfield, a cruise-passenger page for a taxi firm or a hotel, a page per make for a marine engineer on the Hamble. A search from the terminal or the campus deserves a page written for it.
Will it take bookings or payments?
Where the business needs it: appointment booking for a clinic, a table for a restaurant, a berth enquiry for a marina, a card payment for a deposit. Added when it earns its keep, left out when it would only slow the site down.
Is a new site the right answer for me?
Not always, and we say so. If the site you have loads in under three seconds on a phone, has a page per service and a form that works, the profile is the better spend. A rebuild is right when the site is a page builder from years ago, has one page for everything, or cannot be edited without the agency that built it.
Find out whether you need a new site at all
Send us the one you have. If it can rank, we say so and fix the profile instead. If it cannot, you get the package that fits and a fixed price.
