Dental SEO

Dental SEO for practices in Southampton, Hampshire and the UK

Dental SEO is how a practice gets found by new patients: through its own Google profile for ‘dentist near me’ searches, and through a page for each treatment people search for, from implants and aligners to emergency appointments. We do both, write every page to the GDC's advertising guidance, and report the results monthly. Plans from £399 a month, with the prices published.

"Emergency dentist Southampton"The map, then the pageHours that are true on the profile, an emergency page with what to do and how to be seen, and a phone number that is answered.
"Is teeth whitening safe?", "how long do implants last?"The results and AI summariesA short, direct, factual answer at the top of a guide or treatment page, which is what both Google and the assistants quote.

Every month

The work for a dental practice

The same routine each month, listed in advance in the report, so you know what you are paying for before the invoice.

The plans are on the pricing page; most single-site practices start on Growth, which includes a new page or guide every month.

  • The Google profile kept complete and current: categories, every treatment as a service, new-patient status, holiday hours, photographs
  • A new treatment page or patient guide each month, chosen from the searches growing in your area
  • Every page checked against the GDC's advertising guidance before it goes live
  • Clinician profiles updated when the team changes, as the GDC requires
  • Reviews requested from every patient, not only the happy ones, and answered without disclosing anything about their care
  • A report from Search Console and the profile's own figures, with next month's list

The rules

What the GDC guidance means for SEO

The GDC's Guidance on Advertising applies to everything the practice publishes, including the Google profile, treatment pages and social posts. In practice it rules out the shortcuts that generic SEO uses: no ‘specialist’ or ‘orthodontist’ in a title unless the dentist is on the specialist list, no claims that cannot be backed with facts, nothing that creates an unjustified expectation of results, and on social media a clear statement that treatment depends on an assessment. It also requires each clinician's GDC number and qualification wherever they are named.

The full list is in our GDC website requirements checklist. If the practice offers facial aesthetics, see the rules on advertising Botox.

Questions dental practices ask

What does dental SEO involve?

Three things, in order. The practice's Google Business Profile, because 'dentist near me' and 'dentist taking new patients' are decided mostly by the map. A page for each treatment and question patients search for, written so it answers them and meets the GDC's advertising guidance. And steady reviews, asked of every patient, that mention the treatment. Then a monthly report showing which searches moved and what comes next.

Can you rank us for 'dentist near me'?

That search is answered by the map, and the map is decided mainly by distance, relevance and prominence. We can make the practice's profile as relevant and prominent as it can be: the right categories, every treatment as a service, accurate hours, photographs, and a steady flow of reviews. We cannot move the practice closer to the person searching, and nobody honest promises otherwise.

Which treatment pages matter most?

Usually the new-patients page first, then the private treatments with the most search interest and margin: implants, aligners, whitening, hygiene and emergency appointments. The audit shows the real searches for your area and treatments, so the order is decided by data, not by a template.

Does our current website need replacing?

Not necessarily. If it can be fixed (pages added, GDC details completed, speed improved), the audit says so. If it cannot, our dental website builds start at £599. We would rather fix a site than sell one.

How do you handle the GDC guidance?

Every page is checked against it before it goes live: GDC numbers, qualifications and countries for every clinician named, 'specialist' only for dentists on a specialist list, no claims that cannot be backed with facts, and the assessment caveat on any promotion shared on social media.

You are in Wrexham. Can you do SEO for a Southampton practice?

Yes, remotely, and we are open about it. Your Google profile is built for your practice's address, so the map you compete in is your own. The pages, the GDC checks and the reporting are done by phone, video and email.
